About
Stranger Valley Ranch

Our Operation Est. 1992
-
Beginning: Founded by Warren Gfeller in 1992, Stranger Valley Ranch carries forward a legacy rooted in a lifelong passion for ranching and farming. Our dedication to these values drives everything we do.
-
Our Roots: The name "Stranger Valley" pays homage to our original farmland along Stranger Creek near Tonganoxie, KS. The fusion of the former Holland Ranch and S&S Ranch has created an operation with a history dating back to the mid-1800s.
-
Unique Landscape: Nestled in northern Russell County, our ranch's landscape is a tapestry of rugged canyons, rocky bluffs, and expansive grasslands along the Saline River. This unique environment shapes our approach to raising cattle in the most natural way
-
Dedication to Quality: Our cow-calf operation stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence. We prioritize animal welfare, and genetic superiority while not sacrificing inputs to ensure the health and vitality of our herd.
-
Stewardship and Sustainability: We embrace the responsibility of caring for the land that has nurtured generations of ranchers. By implementing sustainable practices and fostering a healthy ecosystem, we aim to leave a positive impact on the future. Our ranch has a commitment to land stewardship and raising exceptional calves with purpose.
